May 20,2021. Pandemic Blues. Today is very hot and humid and Gumby and Pokey decided to rest in the garden with some good books, chips and beer for Gumby. Pokey’s book is about the jungle which he finds is both fascinating and scary! All those dangerous animals with large teeth he thinks! Meanwhile , Gumby has fallen asleep , lulled by the heat and good chips and beer. Suddenly Pokey thinks he sees a crocodile or something very prehistoric looking with many teeth. And the garden has been transformed into a jungle! As the crocodile creeps closer and closer, Pokey slowly backs away. He begins to whimper softly” Gumby wake up! Help I’m really scared what are we going to do ?! I don’t want to be crocodile LUNCH!” The last bit comes out as a scream and Gumby jumps up. “ what’s wrong?”he shouts. Pokey is hiding behind his book and shaking” Look at the crocodile!”he gasps. Gumby looks around and only sees his garden and a little toad hopping away. “I think” Gumby says “that your imagination has run away with you!
