June 12, 2020. Post Covid-19 time- an imagining. Today Bini and Phill have done all of Venice! St. Marks Square, the Cathedral, the museums and art galleries and looked at the shops. Now they are having a gondola ride. The Philosopher has a guide book and is reading out all about the sites they are passing- the history, what famous people lived there a long time ago, who painted the view and etc. Bini wishes just a little that Phill would stop and enjoy the moment. She says dreamily “ Do you think our gondolier is going to sing ? I hear they do sometimes, it’s very romantic!” The Philosopher stops talking and looks at the Apprentice and wonders if the boy thing was becoming a ‘thing’. He hoped not, he wasn’t ready for that. Might need to go back to drinking beer!
