April 23, 2021. Pandemic Blues. Gumby has decided that today they will go to the fair. Pokey had grumbled that his last pick of Paris was a little boring but Gumby thought Pokey’s picks were a little too scary! So Gumby was thinking that the fair would be exciting but not too much! They are riding on the Merry go Round and having fun- but suddenly Pokey drops his ice cream cone- plunk ! On the edge of the ride! Other kids, their parents and grandparents and lots of people at the fair saw what happened and are calling out to Pokey about his ice cream. Gumby is riding a horse and all the action is behind him. He doesn’t see but despite all the shouting and music he hears Pokey crying! When he realizes what has happened he hugs Pokey and says” As soon as the ride is over, we can get you a new one, don’t be sad!” Pokey sniffles a little and cheers up. Meanwhile the ice cream is slowly melting and dripping all over.
