May 1, 2020 Day 46 of Covid-19 waiting it out time. It’s the end of a long day of walking the Camino. Gumby and Pokey have walked 25 km and are exhausted. They have blisters and sore feet( 4 for Pokey!) Fortunately they have made friends and are resting beside the path , sharing a bottle of wine. Even Pokey has some. Gumby is so tired he is lying down, nearly fast asleep. Pokey has lots of questions. “ why do you carry those sticks? And who is the odd fellow on the horse with a jousting spear? “ The pilgrims patiently explain about walking sticks and Don Quixote, a very famous Spanish story. It’s been a hard day but very rewarding too.
