Week Seven
This week I am showing "The Jungle" . Acrylic and about 24x24 inches, this type of painting is layers of fluid acrylic, all painted with a foam brush( dollar store variety). Very intuitive process.

A Painting a Week
So I have decided to post a painting a week hopefully for one year! I was inspired by a book titled One Painting a Day but decided that was too ambitious for me to do. I am starting on Monday March 31and hope to continue for 12 months. Some might be new and others older - just hoping they will be enjoyed.

Awesome weekend!
Just spent an awesome weekend doing a workshop with Brian Smith at the Arts Project. The topic was figurative abstraction. Really touch for me as I rarely do people. It was however an eye opening and mind expanding couple of days. I took some photos but can't source them as yet. I will post soon.

Neglect and new art!
Poor blog! I have been neglectful and not posted or visited in some time. I will try to do better in the future. I think I will post a picture of the box miniature I have made for the Westland Gallery in London,On. The show opens on February 21, 7.30 pm. I have titled it " The Mood Box" and the viewer can choose which side to turn to each day. The pictures are somewhat related to the season and weather( an all consuming topic in Canada).
Collage and mixed media are the processes used, it is 3x3x4 inches.

Rocks of New Mexico

Opening Night
Well, last night was opening night for my show titled Paint, Paper, Cloth and Glue at the Arts Project here in London, Ontario. We had about 35 attendees, and three sales. A very good start to the show although I would have loved more visitors. Hopefully lots more will come over the next two weeks. The show looks great, many thanks have to go to the wonderful staff at the gallery, as well as to my husband,Patrick and daughter, Caitlin for their support and man power. All my family have taken an interest in my art for which I am very grateful.
Come on Londoners, get out there and look at the great art available here in our town !
Next Thursday check out the Gallery Painting Group show at the Byron library. Thursday 6-9, Friday 9-9 and Saturday 9-4, October 17-19, 2013.
