June 9,2021. Pandemic Blues. It’s has been unseasonably hot so Gumby and Pokey are visiting an aquarium to cool off. “Let’s go see the seals” says Pokey. “They usually come from places around the world where the weather is not so hot. Watching them swim will make me feel cooler.” So they go to the seal pool and through the big glass window they watch the seals swim gracefully around and around. Suddenly a voice behind them says” Isn’t that boring? All they do is go around and around!” It was a seal! “What are you doing out here ?“ shouts Pokey “oh I just jumped out and ran away!”answers the seal. “But won’t the rest of the seals miss you?”asks Pokey . “ I don’t care!”says the seal. “Well “says Gumby “ you might care when lunch time comes. You won’t find much that you would like to eat out here.” “And” adds Pokey “ It’s blistering hot outside. Not the kind of climate you would like!” “Are we close to the ocean here?” asks the seal. “No it’s hundreds of miles away from here.” answers Gumby. “Oh dear” says the seal “I may have to re-examine my escape plan!” And he waddles away leaving Gumby and Pokey very confused.
