Haven't blogged in a long time



We have been traveling in Spain, walking the Camino from Sarria to Santiago . About 115 km in total for us. Just amazing experience. Soon home and back to painting and teaching.

Paintings from the cottage



Two new paintings from the cottage done just this past week. It had been steady high 90s for about four days when I did the top one. Later that day the hydro grid broke down across the Mitt.

Two ways of expression



Here are two of my paintings, still on Toronto island. The first is a palette tear off, some say it's a tick, others the head of a cow, others two people talking intimately. The second is a Plien Aire  of one of the lagoons here. Both are acrylics on birch panels.

Toronto Island

I am on Toronto Island with a group of female artists at Artscape Gibralter Point, a residence and studio place for artists and writers. We are all members of the Gallery Painting Group in London, On. These are two of my painting this week so far. We have had some terrific rain storms and some great sunshine today. There are seven of us so we are calling ourselves the Gang of Seven!

Week Fifty Two of A Painting A Week


Two postings for this last week of my posting for a year! It's been fun and the response has been gratifying. The first picture is an older collage. I paint the paper first with acrylics and then tear and assemble the collage. The second photo is of a work in progress, a new direction. Happy Spring!
